Accessing psychology supports can be expensive. I’d like to promote the SCU Clinic which operates continuously on the south end of the Gold Coast (Airport, Coolangatta) in addition to Coffs Harbour and Lismore campuses.
Private Practice is unable to offer “free” services – it’s the nature of being a service business. But the SCU Clinic is entirely FREE and available without a referral. It is staffed by Masters level students in Counselling, Social Work and Psychology who are all supervised by STAP accredited practioners.
So, if you can’t get to a GP to get a MHTP for any reason, such as being chronically ill or can’t even access a MHTP such as being a refugee or asylum seeker, and you need support, please reach out to the SCU Clinic.
