Card surcharge changes from 1 October
Changes are coming to card surcharges. The Reserve Bank of Australia says surcharges on debit and credit card transactions should end from 1 October 2026.
Generally, I have not and do not apply surcharges to client fees. My fees cover the cost of running a small business already, and this includes credit card surcharges. It is why my preferred method of payment is PayID or Direct Deposit.
