About the Author
Chloé Dyer is an Autistic ADHDer, who lives in Queensland, Australia on Yugumbeh land. Like many young Autistic girls, she has experienced loneliness and bullying from peers. Despite this, she has embraced who she is without apology, and has developed authentic friendships with other teens who value her loud, bouncy personality.
Chloé shares her experience in this story in the hope it helps others feel less disconnected and unseen. Whether you are a young child, teen, or an adult reading this book, she wants you to know that you are not alone, and that you are seen and valued.
Chloé is a young creative. Her earliest stories began as soon as she could write, and she has been drawing and painting for even longer. In the coming months, Chloé’s website will expand as she shares more of her original artworks. She has exhibited as part of the Queensland Performing Art Centre Seniors Week in 2020 at the age of 9 years, with a portrait of her grandmother, was selected in 2021 as an entrant to the Darcy Doyle’s with a self-portrait. And most recently, is a finalist in the 2024 Wollumbin Youth Art Award (WYAA), a biennial portrait award for young artists aged 5 to 18 years. Although all of these accolades have been for portraiture, her preferred subject matter is and always has been dinosaurs and dragons.
